This miswak is vacuum sealed to keep it clean, fresh and soft. The bark at the tip is easily removed even without the use of a knife. Chew the bristles to separate the natural fibers to form like toothbrush bristles. The teeth can then be cleaned by drawing the miswak from the edge of the gums up or down to the cutting edge of the teeth.
